So Please be a mature reader and don’t ask me to help you hacking your girlfriends whatsapp.I am not going to do that.My intention with this article is to create awareness so that you can prevent your whatsapp from getting hacked not to hack whatsapp.Is it really possible to hack whatsapp
Well theoretically Yes, There is nothing like 100% security in this world.Almost everything can be penetrated,every encryptions can be cracked but the Question weather the amount of resource and time is worth doing it.So what IT professionals do is increase the level of security so much that the hacker has to spend a considerable amount of resources and time to break into the system
Same is the case with whatsapp.There a quite a few whatsapp hack tool like WhatsApp Sniffer or methods like spoofing mac address which claims to Hack whatsapp conversation.So I decided to test them out and find out if they really work.
1.Whatsapp Hack : Read all conversation even from locked whatsapp
There is practically no way one can hack whatsapp without touching the device. If you believe locking your whatsapp with password makes it secure then it’s soon going to change after you read this.Even after locking whatsapp anyone can read all your conversation very easily all he need is your phone for 1 minute.
How it’s done?
The secret lies behind fact that whatsapp takes daily backup of all your conversation, If you can get the backup, you can read the chat.Now there is two way to get the backup.First by finding the backup file(/sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/msgstore.db.crypt) using the file manager and then send it to your device using Bluetooth. But this file is encrypted which means more work so I prefer the second method.
Second method is my favorite which I accidently discovered while I was testing some other app.By using auto backup apps like
backup text for whatsapp one can directly mail all the whatsapp chat in plain text to it’s mail account.All you need to do is take your friends phone, install this app , take backup then send it and once you are done uninstall the app. All this can be done in less than a minute while the whatsapp is locked with password.
How to prevent it?
Block the access to file manager and lock the play store and settings as well and make sure you don’t allow installation from unknown source by going to setting>device security.
2.Whatsapp Hack : Read all Messages with Whatsapp Sniffer
This application claims to read all the chat conversation taking place over the same WiFi network.
How does it work?
This simple applications which was originally available at play store was soon removed after the detection it’s vulnerability to whatsapp. It use ARP request to spoof all the messages.And since whatsapp messages were simple plain text anyone can read it.But not now from august 2012 whatsapp is encrypting it’s messages.
How to prevent it ?
I often see people asking whether whatsapp sniffer still works. I confirm it’s working on the forum and got the same answer. NO, whatsapp sniffer no longer working.It used to work well just like it claim but not now. However if someone outside your circle is anxious to use your WiFi then be careful.
3.Whatsapp Hack :Spoof mac address on android
Many forum has now verified of it’s working.
How does it work?
Every system has their unique mac address and whatsapp uses it to verify that you are not using whatsapp on two different device with same no.So if the hacker is able to spoof mac address than he will be able to see all your whatsapp activity.
How to prevent it?
Unfortunately there is nothing much that you can do.But this whatsapp hack can’t be performed by normal user. It require to rooted phones and working with command lines which means good skills with computers.So unless your very having interesting chat noone is going through such a trouble for your whatsapp messages.
He will need a rooted phone and should be familiar with the command line.
4.Whatsapp Hack: Using third party spyware.
There are some websites like
bossay and third party spyware which claim to hack whatsapp conversation.But after digging deep I discover they were all Whatsapp Hack Scam.They are mostly paid and you have to install it in victim system with no proof that they will work after that.
In the end I would like you to understand that the developers of whatsapp are not fool!! They have spent significant part of their life making and testing this application.And although they take every precaution ,even if there is slightest probability of Human error it’s is rectified before it becomes viral on the web. Just imagine the what are the chances that a small applications on the web can hacked whatsapp and the developers are not aware of it.

Whatsapp is secure if the device remains in your hand.To remote hack the device the hacker has to put lots of efforts like rooting the phone , installing software using command line interface which he is not going to do just to read your spicy whatsapp chats.However you should worry if you are talking against the NSA.
